How much does it cost to list a vehicle?
Listing is free for private sellers and dealers. There are no listing fees or commissions.
Why is my listing “In review”?
New listings from private sellers and dealers that are not yet verified are reviewed by our team before going live, usually within one business day. Verified Dealers publish instantly.
How do I take good photos?
Shoot in daylight, include the front, both sides, rear, interior, cargo area and odometer. Horizontal and vertical photos both work — we fit every photo in a uniform frame without cropping the vehicle. The cover must show the outside of the vehicle.
Is my VIN public?
No. The VIN is used to fill in specs and stays private unless you choose to show it on the listing. Showing it helps buyers run a vehicle history report.
How do buyers contact me?
Buyers can call you, e-mail you or use WhatsApp with the contacts you choose to show. Dealers also receive on-site messages and information requests in the Dealer Dashboard.
How does a dealership get the Verified Dealer badge?
Complete the Dealership Profile (legal name, address, phone and logo) and request verification. Our team reviews the business details and, where applicable, the state dealer license.
Can my sales team use the same dealership account?
Yes. The owner invites each team member by e-mail and chooses their role and permissions. Each lead belongs to the salesperson who receives it; managers see all leads.
How do I buy safely?
Inspect the vehicle in person, verify the title and VIN, never wire deposits for a vehicle you have not seen, and meet in a safe public place. Report suspicious listings with Report this listing. See our safety tips.
Does Commercial American handle payments or financing?
No. We connect buyers and sellers. Payment, financing, title transfer and delivery are arranged directly between buyer and seller.
How do I delete my account or download my data?
Go to My Account → Profile & Privacy. You can download your data or delete your account at any time.
